Chief Minister's Comprehensive
Health Insurance Scheme
The Chief Minister's Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (CMCHIS) is a Tamil Nadu government initiative providing healthcare coverage to economically vulnerable families. Launched in 2009 as Kalaignar Kaappittu Thittam, it currently covers about 1.48 crore families and is operated by United India Insurance Company through 2027.

Padham Padhukaappom Thittam
Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam is a doorstep healthcare scheme by the Government of Tamil Nadu that delivers medicines, basic tests, and care for chronic diseases (like diabetes and hypertension) directly to people at home, especially the elderly and those in remote areas.

Mobile Health Unit Deployment
Under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), 385 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) have been operating since February 2009 under PHC Patient Welfare Societies. Each MMU visits 25–30 remote villages on fixed schedules, providing services like immunization, maternal care, lab services, and referrals, often aligned with Village Health and Nutrition (VHN) days.

Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Care Initiative
TAEI 2.0 is the upgraded digital platform of the Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Care Initiative used to record, manage, and monitor emergency cases across hospitals. It enables real-time data capture for trauma, cardiac, burns, and other emergencies, improving patient care, reporting, and coordination between healthcare facilities.

One Health
One Health Initiative (Tamil Nadu) is an approach by the Government of Tamil Nadu that integrates human, animal, and environmental health systems to prevent and control diseases. It focuses on early detection of zoonotic diseases, coordinated surveillance, and collaboration between health, veterinary, and environmental departments.

Padham Padhukaappom Thittam
Padham Padhukaappom Thittam is a road safety initiative by the Government of Tamil Nadu aimed at reducing road accidents and saving lives. It focuses on faster emergency response, improved trauma care, public awareness, and coordination between hospitals, police, and transport departments.
